In 1979-80, I lived in Pune, India as part of a college program. My experiences traveling throughout India; meeting remarkable people, experiencing an ancient culture with very wacky current flavors, seeing extensive happiness in the midst of astounding poverty; created the context for the next 25 years. I went into the travel industry, looking for meaning and deep experience in every continent, hoping to help others find the same, and frankly finding a lot of neither.

So I left the biz in 2006 and went on a bit of a personal odyssey; old hometowns, spiritual centers, Burning Man, and more. Now I make my living doing yoyo demonstrations for schools and writing and speaking about our deeper hungers; meaning, connection, transcendence.

My goals are to help my self and others get clear about where we want to go and what we want to do when we get there. Whether you are talking about a trip to Hawaii, A perfect yoyo throw, or an ecstatic inner journey, the questions are important and useful.
